Cold and Rainy

It is so hard to get motivated back into a work routine when it is cold and rainy out! I was just in TX and it was 85 everyday! I got sun burnt to a crisp! This weather is for the birds!
We had a lot of fun in TX after I got adjusted to the roughing it life. We had planned on camping in the back of my friends enclosed trailer which has air conditioning. I had to use a public shower and brush my teeth outside!I know the horror huh? All in the name of keeping expenses down.
I had a problem sleeping in the enclosed trailer I had no idea I was claustrophobic. The first night I tried I had a panic attack so moved out to the truck to sleep where I could see out! That is where I slept for the next 12 nights, and believe me my back can attest to uncomfortableness of the truck!
Once I got adjusted to this sorta carnie life I started having fun and starting meeting such nice, talented, and fun, people from all over the USA. We ventured out to see what other vendors had to offer and there was some amazing and inspiring things!
We made it out to Marburger Farm where a lot of the more famous people sell like Magnolia Pearl. The things we saw were beautiful and inspiring! I will share a few pics of some of the cool things.

Here is Large Marge from the Junk Gypsy's

This is inside the Junk Gypsy's booth

I have to be honest the Junk Gypsy's had some cool stuff but I was kinda disappointed at how merchandised their booth was. It was a lot of t-shirts,jewelry,and mugs etc. I didn't see a lot that they had made. I was hoping to be awed by their booth but I felt kinda ripped off. I guess I was hoping for more inspiration from people who have a TV deal.
Loved this booth! Sorry I lost the card to give proper credit to who this was.

We did sneak over to Marburger Farm where the really expensive stuff is and Magnolia Pearls booth is. I will say there were some really amazing booths that made me feel like our booth was just a small time booth. I think their were some really cool and amazingly creative people there. Gave me hope that maybe someday I can reach that level!
Here are is Deb in the middle with two great gals we had as neighbors at our booth. The One on the far left had a really cool booth look her up on Facebook under "Flown the Coop". She is a fun, full of energy gal! I really enjoyed getting to hang with her!

I loved this idea to plant succulents in gloves!
This booth was beautiful! I loved those big windows in the front!
Me the typical tourist at Marburger Farm
A cool booth at Marburger Farm.

This was outside Magnolia Pearls booth. I have to say I didn't really get the attraction to wearing bloomers? But women were doing it down there. I told Deb we would get laughed at in Iowa for wearing such a get-up! Plus not to mention the high price tag was ridiculous!!

I did get to attend the Junk Gypsy prom which was really fun!

Me in my Junk gypsy prom attire.
I love this pic we took on the way to the prom!
Overall I have to say it was a really long time to do a sale.I may have gotten cranky from the heat and Deb and I might of gotten on each others nerves, but I did have a lot of fun though! Would I do it again? Probably not but I can say I have done it! Traci
